Simon Cowell tells us he nearly "gave up" while selecting this year's Britain's Got Talent finalists - because of all the spats with fellow judges Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan.

He says: "The deliberation process became a joke at one point, we were so off the same page. What I thought was good compared to what the other two thought. "I almost gave up and said, 'You cast the shows!' "Piers is always talking about the underdog, variety, and originality, I look at it as complete and utter rubbish. It's crazy how much we differ."

Si, 50, also had a few words to say about Louis Walsh ahead of tonight's semi-final. "Would I ever trust Louis again?" he said. "No!" Break it to the poor man gently, why don't you.
